What Has Helped You Heal?
Hey, My name is Ashley McNeill-Ballentine, and I work on a high-risk antepartum unit at a local hospital. Unfortunately, we have seen a rapid increase in infant losses over the last four months. Our unit supports many women from early-term pregnancies, moms with broken membranes, moms with healthy babies, and moms who have unexpectedly lost their baby. We make sure to show extra support to all of our families who have suffered a loss by taking photos, making molds of the feet, doing footprints and handprints, dressing the baby (if we have the correct size), placing a hat on the baby, and wrapping the baby in a blanket.
